Well, I caved. A lot of people (mainly family members) have been urging me for months to get Emma's hair cut, at least a trim. I've been very reluctant to do it for a variety of reasons, but the main one is that I want her hair to grow to be all one length. But this week I basically got tired of the naggings and just did it. :-) It took less than 10 minutes and Emma was SO GOOD! She sat perfectly still and let the woman cut her hair. I don't think you can see a measurable difference, but it is cleaned up and a little shorter. The woman who cut it did say a trim would help it grow...I'm not sure I'm convinced...we'll see. Here are a few pictures...

Hi Nicole!
Thanks for your comment! It's good to know people are reading! I don't know how my posts always turn into sermons! :P
Your little girls are lovely. Don't be too hard on yourself with the training while nursing--that's always an uphill battle but it sure looks like she loves her little sis! Congrats!
I'll let you know when the patent for the humane toddler shock collar goes through--I'm still working on getting it passed ;) It would only be mild little shock.... :)
Kiiiiidding.......!
Blessings,
~Liz
That's exciting! Where did you take her?
Poor little girl. I think she must be cursed with her Grammie's thin, fine hair. I had my bangs trimmed to keep it out of my face when I was very young, and I was about 4 and when I had my first haircut. She's a good girl to sit still!
Love,
Grammie
What a milestone!!! Mallory has received a "bangs trim", but I'm afraid to cut her little curls on the back. I don't want them to go away!!!
ahhhh!!!! She was so brave!!!! Good for her!
Kelly ~ We just took her to Mastercuts. We were at Concord Mills playing and Mastercuts is right there by the play area. It took about 6 minutes! LOL!
Wow- what a big girl! That's a big "first" for her- thanks for sharing it with us. You guys are such a beautiful family.
If it comes from your cousin - who doubles as a cosmetologist - will you believe it?
It's true! Cutting (well, trimming) her hair will help it grow. The fuzz on the ends is no good for her hair. Just think of how long it's been there. Keep it trimmed and I'll bet that it gets thicker.
I'm glad her experience was a good one.
OK OK ... maybe you're right, Kerrie. I'll let you know how her hair grows over the next month! :-P
Really?
You'll believe someone who
looks like

that??? :o)
She was sooooooooooo good...even seemed to enjoy it! Her hair is exactly like yours was, Nic, when you were her age...are you going to post any pics of her hair "rolled up"? she was pretty cute!
Love Mom
