Kate's weight check this afternoon went really well. She had gained 1/2 an ounce. The doctor we saw today said that was what they expected newborns to gain in a day. YAY!! I was very encouraged. However, we are still feeding her every two hours until the next weight check, which is Thursday. The good news is that I don't have to supplement every feeding. I can use my own judgement based on how well or how poorly she nurses. I also get to go to every three hours at night. So thank you for your prayers!!
Emma also had a much better day today. She tried to pull Kate out of my arms a couple of times because she wanted to hold her. She also kept bringing me diapers so I could change Kate. :-) This morning Kate was in her crib and I was downstairs. My dad was upstairs and Emma went to go find him. When he came out of the room he was in, he found Emma at Kate's crib putting diapers by her head. :-) She's been a great little helper today!
My heart has been encouraged in so many ways today. Again, thank you for your prayers!! God is indeed faithful and more than capable of sustaining us!

Yeah Kate!, Yeah Mommy! The Lord is gracious and is answering our many prayers for you all, including Emma. (She will make a great little Mama!) We have many of our friends praying for you as well, so I know our sovereign God will provide for each need.
Can't wait to get back down there and 'hep' out with those precious granddaughters. After 8 brothers, 2 sons and a husband, God has blessed me doubly with two little girls to love. Have to admit, I had given up on a girl when Emma came and surprised us, and to have two little girls is so wonderful!
