We madea quick trip to the gardens this weekend. Everytime we go, I'm amazed at the beauty! Who, but God, could create such profound beauty?

I was going to post my pics today, too, but I think I'll wait. :-)
It is a beautiful spot!
Beautiful pictures, Nicole! Thanks for sharing them.
I went up there on Sunday but thanks to my profound lack of navigational skills, only managed to wander around the cemetary and never found the garden. The cemetary itself was pretty though with lots of flowering trees and bushes.
It was sobering to see all the headstones for infants and toddlers and remember how recently so many in this country died before they turned 3. Of course, for much of the world, that is still a grim reality. Not to be mrobid, but at Perspectives last night Tim Hanauer asked what the leading cause of death was in the world today. Not aids, not cancer or heart disease, not even Malaria or malnutrition. He said it is lack of clean drinking water which leads to a host of parasitic infections and, for many, death. How much we have to be thankful for in such a simple thing!
On a completely frivolous note, on my way to the cemetary, I had some of the best Mexican food I've had since leaving So Cal and certainly THE BEST fish taco ever! (Kelly -- IMHO, much, much, better than Baja's or Rubio's -- even tho I love those!) It was at Taqueria la Unica in Concord. I may never be able to find it again as I barely remember where I was but if I'm ever in Concord, I will be looking for it! On top of the great taste -- it was cheap, too - $1.79 for a fish taco, $2.19 for a sopa with carnitas. All you Concord-ites, check it out!

Beautiful pictures. Wish we could have gotten back in time to go with you. I'll send you pictures of the azaleas in Aunt Annie Merle's yard. They are ahead of us by nearly a month. Everything was pretty there, too.
Beautiful indeed. I would think I was in Heaven with all those tulips.
